Ans: A QR code (Quick Response Code) is a unique code generated by the system. It can be scanned using QR scanners or mobile cameras, directing you to data sets or a specific web address.

Q. Why do we generate QR codes in ZPS?
Ans: In ZPS, QR codes are generated for the following purposes:
Identification and tracking of inward items.
Tracking and serialization of dispatch items.
Labeling a location at a site or warehouse.
Q. Where can users generate a QR code?
Ans: Users can generate a QR code in ZPS by navigating to:
zps.zetwerk.com → Serialization → Create QR, or use the direct link provided.
Q. What types of QR codes can be generated?
Ans: In ZPS, users can create the following types of QR codes:
Inward Items
Dispatch Items
Location
While user can print the following types of QR codes:
Inward Items
Assembled Items (this is system generated QR, therefore print only)
Dispatch Items
Location
2. Creating a QR Code
Q. How to create a QR for inward items in ZPS?
Ans: Follow these steps:
After accessing the QR/Serialization tab
QR Type: Select “Inward Items” from the dropdown.
Supplier Name: Choose the supplier name from the list. If unavailable, raise a request to MDM for addition.
ASN Reference Number: Enter the ASN (Advance Shipping Note) number to track delivery (Mandatory).(more info in technical Details tab)
PO Number: Optionally, enter the purchase order number.
Add Items: Select items from the available list, adding SKU, Set ID, and D&C No.
Create QR: Confirm the Generate QR pop-up.
Print QR: After confirmation, select the items and print the QR code.

Q. How to create a QR for a dispatch item?
Ans: Follow these steps:
After accessing the QR/Serialization tab
QR Type: Select “Dispatch Items” from the dropdown.
Production Order ID/Work Order ID: Enter the ID to fetch associated items.
Create QR: Confirm the Generate QR pop-up.
Print QR: Select the items and print the QR code.

Q. How to create a QR for a location?
Ans: Follow these steps:
After accessing the QR/Serialization tab
QR Type: Select “Location” from the dropdown.
Site: Select a site from the dropdown (e.g., Germany, India).
Warehouse: Choose a warehouse from the dropdown list.
Add Location: Select the location from the checklist (e.g., Reception, Production Line).
Create QR: Confirm the Generate QR pop-up.
Print QR: Select the location and print the QR code.

3. Additional Information
Q. Can users add new items in the dispatch item QR?
Ans: No, new items cannot be added manually to the dispatch QR. Items are automatically fetched based on the Production Order ID/Work Order ID.
Q. Can users print multiple QRs at once?
Ans: Yes, users can print multiple QRs at once if the following conditions are met:
Inward Items QR: Same ASN and PO number.
Dispatch Items QR: Same Production Order ID/Work Order ID.
Location QR: Same site and warehouse.
Also after satisfying the above conditions the user need to select the line items in order to print QR
as you can see the Print QR button is disabled.
After selecting the line items, the Print QR button is enabled.
Q. Where can users access the generated QRs?
Ans: Users can access generated QRs at the home page of QR module. The list of QRs is sorted by creation date and can be filtered by QR type (Inward, Dispatch, Assembled, Location).
4. Technical Details
Q. What is an ASN reference number?
An ASN (Advance Shipping Note) reference number is a unique identifier assigned to an advance shipping notice or a document sent by a supplier to a customer to inform them about an upcoming delivery.
Q. What is a serial number?
Ans: A serial number is an identifier that tracks and stores the following information:
Tracking Dimension (Individual/Group)
Product Code (Zetwerk Product Code)
Supplier Code
Running Sequence Number
Sample QR Serial Number: G/RM-00007/SUP-00001/00003
Format: Tracking Dimension/Product Code/Supplier Code/Running Sequence Number
Q. What is a D&C number?
Ans: The D&C number consists of Drawing and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) details.
Q. What is an ECN?
Ans: An Engineering Change Notice (ECN) is a document used to initiate adaptations or corrections during a product’s lifecycle.
Q. How can users access the Serialization tab?
Ans: Users can access the Serialization tab through the provided link or switch from the QR tab.
5. Reading and Printing QRs
Q. How to read a QR code?
Ans: Each QR code is generated with a unique key. Below is an example:
QR Serial Number: G/RM-00007/SUP-00001/00003
Format: Tracking Dimension/Product Code/Supplier Code/Running Sequence Number
Details:
Tracking Dimension: I - Individual, G - Group
Product Code: RM-00007
Supplier Code: SUP-00001

Q. How to scan the QR?
Ans: Scanning of QR will be done using handheld ZEBRA Scanner- TC 58 devices.
Q. Which device will be used to print QR?
Ans: Printing of QR will be done using Zebra ZD421 printer.
Q. How can users reprint QR codes?
Ans. Users can enter a serial number to reprint the associated QR code in the Reprint QR tab, enhancing traceability in the production process.
Q. What will be the search field to reprint a QR?
Ans. Serial No. to be used to reprint a QR.
